]]> http://escapestudio.org/caribou-adventure/feed/ 0 Over Slot Snook from the Indian River!! http://escapestudio.org/over-slot-snook-from-the-indian-river/ http://escapestudio.org/over-slot-snook-from-the-indian-river/#comments Thu, 29 Sep 2011 20:19:26 +0000 admin http://escapestudio.org/?p=351 Had a great morning with Cpt Terry Lamielle of Vero Beach, FL, http://www.easydaysfishing.com/ along with my colleague Ross Deppen.  We went out into the backcountry of the Indian River before light and saw a piece of the satellite that came into our atmosphere come crashing down through the sky like a massive shooting star.  It was definitely a sign of good luck.  Within minutes we were in a shallow flat with bait boiling and big fish feeding in a hair raising frenzy!  I hooked a huge snook that leaped clear out of the water 4 times, yet still got him to the net.  We caught some hard fighting Jack Crevalle and Spotted Sea Trout as well.  Spent the rest of the morning casting to 60 lb tarpon that had lockjaw.  Great Saturday morning trip!!

June 16, 2011 Peter caught an even bigger striped bass. This one weighed 77 pounds 4 ounces.  He’s the master of the art of eeling.
